Points Structure Per Race

  • 1st Place β€” 1000 Points
  • 2nd Place β€” 975 Points
  • 3rd Place β€” 965 Points
  • 4th Place β€” 960 Points

Position-Based Point Reduction

  • 5th Place β€” 955 Points
  • 6th Place β€” 950 Points
  • 7th Place β€” 945 Points
  • 8th Place β€” 940 Points

Participation Points

Every driver who takes the green flag in qualifying will receive 200 participation points.

Pole Position Points

Every driver who takes pole position in qualifying will receive 7 additional points.

DNF / Incomplete Race Scoring

Drivers who do not complete the full race will still receive points based on the number of completed laps and corrected time.

  • Drivers are ranked by total completed laps.
  • A driver completing more laps ranks ahead of drivers completing fewer laps.
  • If multiple drivers complete the same number of laps, corrected time determines finishing position.
  • Points are awarded according to finishing position using the 5-point reduction system.

2026 Regional Championships

Regional Champions (East, Central, and West) are determined by the highest combined total from:

  • The two races within their designated region
  • Their single best finish from the two designated Joker races
  • Points cannot be combined across multiple regions.
  • Only one Joker result may count toward Regional points.
  • Drivers must compete in both races within their region to apply a Joker score toward Regional standings.
  • Drivers may compete in one or both Joker races.
  • The highest-scoring Joker finish automatically applies to both Regional and National Championship standings.

2026 National Championship

The National Champion is determined by the highest combined total from:

  1. King of the Hammers (KOH)
  2. The driver's top two regional races plus one Joker race
  3. The Nationals event
  • Drivers must qualify and start their vehicle at KOH.
  • Drivers must compete in at least one regional race to be eligible for Nationals.
  • Drivers may not combine points from multiple regions for National standings.

Eligibility Requirements

  • Drivers must compete in all required races within their designated series to remain championship eligible.
  • A Driver of Record may appoint one substitute driver for a single regional event in accordance with the official rulebook.
  • The substitute driver must race the Driver of Record’s vehicle.
  • Points earned by the substitute driver apply to the Driver of Record.

Vehicles are only eligible to compete if they:

  • Are registered prior to official registration closing
  • Pass technical inspection during official tech times
  • Are qualified by an eligible racer before competition
